Bridal Couture Week, Concluded On A High Note Of Fashion Forward Bridal Trends
The three-day bridal extravaganza Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week 20 by HUM Network Limited concluded with some forward, contemporary and invogue bridal trends, following all government issued SOPs and covid19 protocols. The final day also witnessed legendary Arif Lohar, Sonya Hussayn, Azfar Rehman and other celebrities on the ramp as showstoppers and a special performance by Azaan Sami Khan on song Main Tera from his debut album by the same title.
Show One on Day Three of the bridal extravaganza kicked off with the designer extraordinaire Ali Xeeshan’s Numaish. His collection was a pledge against the old-age tradition of dowry and an effort to educate today’s youth to say no to dowry, followed by Sable Vogue Atelier’s Mussarat Sultana featuring exquisitely handcrafted renaissance pieces that were cut to perfection and intricately detailed in Swarovski, zari, tilla, marori, hand-worked pearls and Mukesh. Next in line was Jermyn Street’s Shab-e-Vasl which was a fine blend of sequins, pearls, tilla, zardozi, dabka and embroidery. Each piece of this collection was crafted to perfection and tailored to class, followed by Ayesha & Usman’s Riwaayat showcasing a harmonious blend of beloved tradition and timeless stories. Show One of PHBCW concluded with One of Pakistan’s rising fashion brands, Nisa Hussain’s debut bridal collection. Her collection reflected the brand’s take on traditional subcontinental bridal wear, infused with the designer’s signature silhouettes and embellishments.Set in rich, luxurious materials and embellishments, the collection had a diverse colour palette ranging from neutrals to red.
Show Two commenced with the Grand Couturiers’ segment featuring bridal dresses by Pakistan’s most loved designers Amir Adnan, Mahgul, Sania Maskatiya, Rizwan Beyg, Nilofer Shahid, Faiza Samee, Zara Shahjahan, Elan, HSY, Omer Farooq by Republic and Sana Safinaz. Highlight of the segment was Azaan Sami Khan’s performance on his song Main Tera from his debut album by the same title, which is set to release under HUM Music on February 10, 2021. Next was a special performance by the gorgeous Amar Khan and Hammad Shoaib on The Wedding Song of the Year by Telenor. Day Three of the three-day bridal extravaganza also had a brilliant line-up of celebrities walking for the designers – the dashing Muneeb Butt and Shahveer Jafry showstopped for Jermyn Street, while the gorgeous Zubab Rana graced the ramp for Ayesha & Usman. The legendary Arif Lohar performed for Nisa Hssain, whereas the evergreen Resham and the beautiful Hareem Farooq walked for the brand. The charming Azfar Rehman showstopped for Ahsan’s Menswear and the finale for the day by Zaha Couture featured the sensational Sonya Hussayn as showstopper.

Ali Xeeshan presents his latest collection “Numaish” for Hum Bridal Couture Week 2021. This time he is trying to make a dialogue with the masses on a deep-rooted dilemma-dowry (Jahez). The campaign sheds light on the epochal and alarming issue of families fretting over saving money for their daughters’ dowry instead of their education that is by far more important.
Therefore, Ali Xeeshan has taken upon himself to take a stand against this hapless practice rampant in our society spreading awareness about this superfluous menace spoiling the lives of millions. His new collection aims to educate today’s youth to pledge that we will say no to dowry.

The 18th edition of the country’s biggest and most sought-after bridal extravaganza, Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week (PHBCW) unveiled its red carpet here in the City of Gardens on February 4, 2021. Organized under the banner of Pakistan’s numero uno entertainment network HUM Network Limited launched in 2010, the huge format event is the most opulent and highest profile bridal show in Pakistan. It leads the bridal fashion industry with its creative influence and has been strategically repositioning Pakistani bridal fashion in the global fashion economy for the last ten years. The event showcases latest trends and designs in bridal couture by leading as well as emerging fashion designers of the country. It has become the most aspired presentation for Pakistan’s top designers, couture lovers, influential individuals, buyers, celebrities, socialites, and legacy brands. This year, with Pantene as its title sponsor, PHBCW will be showcasing 35 designers on the runway.
Show one of the bridal extravaganza kicked off with a special hair show by Pantene where the brand unveiled their new bottle. Models sashayed down the ramp showing off their shiny, bouncy, healthy hair adding more glamour to the Pantene Bridal Couture Week with their more open hair days campaign. Film actor and brand ambassador of Pantene Maya Ali also walked the ramp. Fahad Hussayn presented an avant-garde collection of custom made woven Banarsi bridal dresses with Sao Banjara – The Couture Edit, followed by Uniworth Dress Co.’s groom collection The Luxe Edit celebrating the brands 25th Anniversary. Next, Nauman & Bhaiya debuted with their bright lehngas and cholis in hues of scarlet with their collection Gurya, followed by Alishba and Nabeel’s Sakhiyaan, an ode to the bridesmaids who bring life, joy, colour and lifelong memories to the weddings. Next in line was Naushad Imdad’s Subh e Nau (The Way Forward) inspired by Pak-western culture, using hand paint art and hand embroidery together in menswear for the first time in Pakistan followed by Haris Shakeel with his collection Ghazal which drew its inspiration from the colours of poetry. Madeeha Shoaib was next with her signature collection ‘The Enchanted Island’ inspired by marine life, encapsulating the true essence of haute couture. The day came to end with Munib Nawaz’s
collection Sakal Ban which paid tribute to Ameer Khusro’s famous poem Sakal Ban. Cast, Time and Day of HUM new drama Serial RAQEEB SE
After successfully delivering mega drama serials such as Yeh Dil Mera, Pyar Ke Sadqey, Sabaat, ishq Zahe Naseeb and many other serials that ruled our TV screens the previous year, HUM TV, once again is set to start the new year on an incredible higher note with its newest drama serial Raqeeb Se. Hum Network Ltd Celebrates 16th Anniversary Of Its Premier Entertainment Channel, Hum Tv
Pakistan’s numero uno entertainment network HUM Network Limited celebrated the 16th anniversary of its premier entertainment channel HUM TV, on January 16, 2020 in Islamabad in a special show hosted by the iconic humorist Ahmed Ali Butt and the gorgeous Shifa Yousafzai. The anniversary transmission was attended by prominent faces of the country’s entertainment landscape and dignitaries including DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, Zulfi Bukhari, Adnan Siddiqui, Bushra Ansari, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Farhan Saeed, Sarah Khan, Vaneeza Ahmed, Momina Duraid, Usman Mukhtar, Sultana Siddiqui President HUM Network Limited and CEO HUM Network Duraid Qureshi. Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar and others also joined the transmission via video links and congratulated HUM on completing 16 glorious years of pure entertainment. The show simulcasted on HUM TV, HUM Masala and the official YouTube and Facebook pages of HUM, also raised the curtain on HUM TV’s new ID featuring the who’s who of the entertainment industry.
The start of 2021 will witness mega projects by HUM Network that will touch the audiences’ hearts including Raqs-e-Bismil, Raqeeb Se, Phaans, Chupke Chupke, Taana Baan and Sangema to name a few. Through all of its growing years, HUM TV has played a major role in empowering women, showcasing stigmas and issues that people shy away from, presenting them with sensitivity and gaining acceptability with the masses. After the successful inaugural edition of HUM Women Leaders Awards 2020, this year HUM Network will once again celebrate the success stories of our women and women leaders around the world in the second edition.

Cast, Time and Day of HUM new drama Serial ‘Raqs-e-Bismil’
After wowing audiences in yet another versatile role in the ongoing HUM TV drama serial Mushk, the very talented Imran Ashraf, once again, stole all the limelight ever since the teasers of HUM TV’s Raqs-e-Bismil aired last week. The teasers which offered a preview into the serial’s scintillating background score, immaculate direction, brilliant acting by the lead cast and storyline which seems to be a perfect blend of thrill, romance and drama, ticked all the boxes of a mega serial. Sharing his excitement with fans, Imran Ashraf on his Instagram account posted, “let me introduce you to my next character “Moosa”, I have been waiting for a script since a while, Thank You Hashim Nadeem for giving me a chance to be part of your masterpiece script.”
Written by Hashim Nadeem, Raqs-e-Bismil marks the television return of ace director Wajahat Rauf and features the versatile Imran Ashraf in yet another distinct avatar opposite the uber talented Sarah Khan. Produced jointly by Shazia Wajahat and MD Productions, Raqs-e-Bismil is an unconventional take on love and passion. The story of the play revolves around two characters from contrasting worlds and ideologies and their understandings of love, life and relations. Apart from offering an exciting lead pair, the serial boasts a stellar supporting cast such as Mehmood Aslam, Nida Mumtaz, Anoushay Abbasi, Momin Saqib, Javeria Abbasi, Gul E Rana, Saleem Mairaj, Rashid Farooqui, Furqan Qureshi, Sajid Shah, Shazia Qaiser and others, and also marks the television debut of Lollywood diva Zara Sheikh. Beginning from December 18, 2020, the serial will air every Friday at 8 pm on HUM TV.

Parwaz Hai Junoon Premieres in Beijing, China
Momina & Duraid Films’ blockbuster aerial combat film, Parwaz Hai Junoon starring the very talented Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Amir and Ahad Raza Mir in lead roles premiered at the Wanda Cinema in Beijing, China. The commercial release of PHJ in China comes ahead of the 70th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties. The JF-17 Thunder aircraft shown in the film is jointly produced by Pakistan and China which is a testament of the brotherly bond between the two countries and its people.
The premiere ceremony of PHJ was attended by Mr Moin-ul-Haq, Pakistan’s ambassador to China and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Moin expressed his joy at the release of a Pakistani film in mainland China in over four decades and suggested that the Pakistani and Chinese film industry should work together to produce movies in the future. Commenting on the film’s storyline Mr Moin said that the film has action, drama, love, emotions and of course love for one’s country, and the sentiments and values are common to China as well.

Parwaaz Hai Junoon outlines the lives, relationships, challenges, duty and hardships of Pakistan Airforce officers and encompasses the roles, patriotism and courage of female fighter pilots of the PAF. Shot in some of the majestic locations of Pakistan, PHJ shows the scenic beauty of Pakistan which will leave an everlasting impression on its viewers and promote tourism. The film is set to release across China on November 13, 2020.

Anmol Baloch Shines Through in Hum TV Drama ‘Qurbatain’
The breakout star Anmol Baloch is all set to make a massive splash in Hum TV drama ‘Qurbatain’.
Directed by Kamran Akbar and produced under the banner of MD Productions, the drama stars Shahbaz Shigri, and Anmol herself in lead roles.
With the cast so young, fresh, and talented, Qurbatain with its promos appears like a one-of-a-kind story that with its characters embroiled in a plot full of romance and a thirst for freedom.

Cast, Time and Day of HUM new drama Serial ‘Qurbatain’
Produced under the banner of MD Productions, drama serial Qurbatain is HUM TV’s newest presentation that revolves around friendship, lust and deceit. It is an intertwined story of two friends Areeba and Zamal and highlights how low one can stoop to gain a luxurious life but at what cost. Areeba, raised by a single mother belongs to a low-middle class family while Zamal belongs to an upper-class family. Lured by wealth and luxurious life, Areeba takes some dreadful steps that put an irreparable dent on the sacred bond of friendship and her morality, but little does she know what fate has in store for her. Written by Rizwan Ahmed, Qurbatain is directed by Kamran Akbar Khan and boasts a cast comprising of Anmol Baloch, Shehbaz Hamid Shigri, Komal Sajid, Arij Moheuddin, Kashif Mahmood, Munazzah Arif, Tahira Imam, Abbas Ashraf Awan, Laiba Sarfaraz, Leyla Zuberi, Ahmed Taha Ghani, Kamran Hussain, Halima, Zain Afzal and others. The drama is set to air on HUM TV every Monday and Tuesday at 9 pm.
