A statue of “Ertugrul Ghazi” has been removed in the Turkish province of Ordu for resembling Turkish actor Engin Altan Düzyatan.
According to international media reports, statues of other Turkish historical figures, including Ertugrul Ghazi, were erected in the Turkish province of Ordu as part of a project, but when a picture of Ertugrul Ghazi’s statue went viral on social media, users identified that the statue resembles actor Engin Altan.
Engin Altan is a Turkish actor who has played the role of Ertugrul Ghazi in the Turkish series “Dirilis: Ertugrul”.At the request of social media users, the administration of the Turkish province of Ordo has removed the statue of Ertugrul Ghazi.
It should be noted that on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Turkish series ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ is being aired on state TV channel.
“We were disturbed by the fact that the bust of Ertugrul Gazi resembles Engin Altan Düzyatan, the lead actor in the Resurrection Ertugrul series and the same day the bust in question was removed,” said the municipality in a written statement.
