A magnificent picture of sweethearts kissing underwater was a ‘dream come true’ for the photographer
Thanks to social media, it’s hard to stand out when it comes to wedding photos — but a couple in Florida did exactly that by passionately embracing underwater while still dressed in wedding attire!
Greenwood’s snap was given an honorable mention in the Underwater Art category at the Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition.
“I love underwater portrait work, and this session was a dream come true!”
Taken by the photographer Kimber Greenwood at Kelly Springs in Apopka, Florida, with a Nikon D750 camera, the image features a bride and groom locking lips in a fantasy-like setting.
“The current was intense, so my assistant was holding me in place!” Greenwood said of the story behind the shot.
Judges combed through thousands of entries from 78 countries to award more than $85,000 in prizes in 16 categories for the eighth annual edition of the Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition.
The Underwater Photography Guide publisher and judge, Scott Gietler, said of the competition: “I continue to be amazed by the wonderful images that today’s underwater photographers are producing. The winning images produce powerful emotion, and will influence a new generation of ocean conservation.”
The photo judged to be the best overall, taken by Greg Lecoeur, depicts a crab-eater seal maneuvering quickly through freezing waters under thick ice in Antarctica.

As we near the end of Sony’s fourth-generation console, it’s time to start digging for rumors about its successor — the PlayStation 5. For a while, it seemed like we’d continue getting newer versions of the PlayStation 4 with only slight technical upgrades, such as the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim, but Sony officially confirmed it’s working on the next (and possibly last) PlayStation gaming console. It won’t be alone: Microsoft is hard at work on a next-generation Xbox, called Xbox Series X as well.
Rumors and confirmed details have been circulating on the internet, and we’ve done our best to gather it all right here. From hardware to games, here is everything you need to know about the PS5 — and yes, that is the name.
Sony is working on a new console
As we have come to expect from Sony, the company didn’t reinvent the wheel when naming the next PlayStation. It’s called the PlayStation 5, also known as the PS5. With the name, Sony is showing that it is taking a true jump into the next generation, rather than a half-step like with the PS4 Pro.
Sony first confirmed that it was actively working on a new console in an interview with the Financial Times. CEO Kenichiro Yoshida confirmed that it is “necessary to have next-generation hardware.” In the same Financial Times report, it was said that the PS5 wouldn’t be radically different in design than the PS4.
This falls in line with what system architect Mark Cerny told Wired during an April 2019 interview. As you’ll find below, Sony’s next console will get a significant upgrade in power.
PlayStation 5 specs
In the interview with Wired, Mark Cerny revealed that the PS5’s CPU and GPU are AMD chips that will be able to support 3D audio, 8K graphics, and ray tracing, a feature currently found on very powerful PCs. The CPU will be an eight-core chip based on the Ryzen line and use Zen 2 microarchitecture. The GPU will be based on the Radeon Navi line. Despite specs that significantly outperform current-generation consoles, a recent rumor speculates that the PS5 will still have less power than recent high-end PC graphics cards. Hardware leaker Komachi suggested that the PS5’s AMD Oberon APU (which combines CPU and GPU) will run at 2GHz. While that more than doubles the speed of the PS4 Pro and outpaces the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super, it’s not as powerful as the Nvidia RTX 2080 line.
So, what do we know about the chips? In a follow-up interview with Wired, Cerny confirmed that the GPU would be capable of hardware-based ray tracing, rather than a software-side solution.
The PS5 will also be ditching a hard-disk drive in favor of a solid-state drive with higher bandwidth than those used in current PCs. With the move to an SSD drive, loading times should be reduced significantly when compared to Sony’s latest PS4 model, the PlayStation 4 Pro.
In an investor briefing, Sony shared that content that takes more than eight seconds to load on the PlayStation 4 Pro can be done in less than a second on the next-generation console. It is also rumored to be more powerful than Xbox’s Project Scarlett but this is currently unconfirmed.
The PlayStation 5 will support Blu-ray discs, as well as digital downloads and game streaming. The console will be equipped with a 4K Blu-ray player, just like the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, and it will use games with a data capacity of 100GB.
To help mitigate installation times brought on by huge file sizes, Sony will make use of the SSD and allow you to only install the parts of games you want to play, such as a competitive multiplayer mode or campaign. Games can also be loaded to specific modes from the dashboard, so you can join your friend in a match without having to go through the entire starting process as you would on games for PS4.
Mark Cerny confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will be backward compatible with PS4 and PS VR games. This will not include PS3, Ps2, or PS1 games according to the BBC. The reason for this, Cerny cited, was the PS5 and PS4’s similar architecture. Sony later said it planned to use backward compatibility to help players transition into the next-generation system from the PS4.
The next PSVR?
Though Sony has not outright confirmed a successor to the PlayStation VR yet, the company has made it clear that it intends to improve on the headset’s design with future iterations. at the Collision Conference in Toronto, PlayStation’s global head of R&D Dominic Mallinson said that Sony aims to make future versions of PlayStation VR lighter, and less encumbered by wires. It’s possible that there will even be a completely wireless version released in addition to a more traditional model, with the wireless version costing more.
The CNET report also said PlayStation is considering using eye-tracking technology in its headset. This is something we’ve seen in premium headsets like the Vive Pro, and it would make way for more sensitive and intuitive control schemes in virtual reality games.
Lipton, one of the world’s leading tea brands owned by Unilever, recently unveiled their new TVC. The brand is moving to a platform of enabling connection moments with our loved ones. The insight behind the campaign is something everyone in today’s world can relate to. In the busyness of life, we tend to get so involved in the things we have to do, we don’t prioritize taking out time to make a connection with the ones who matter the most.
The message was brought to life through Lipton’s new TVC, which shows a father unconsciously slipping into work mode, ignoring playtime with his daughter. A sip of Lipton brings him back into the moment, and he actively prioritizes his daughter over his other tasks. The message is simple: “Jaagein un keliye jo waqai ahem hain” (Be awake to those who really matter).
The new TVC campaign has been launched nationwide and has stirred up a lot of conversation about the importance taking out time for human connection in today’s fast paced life.

The social power of music is immense, and Hamza Akram Qawwal and Brothers, Taimoor AKram, and Abdul Akram are slowly becoming an embodiment of the fact. With his latest single, Karde Karam, he offers a beautiful fusion of eastern style vocals and western music. The melody is gentle, yet his poignant vocals give it strength and expression. Part of the Acoustic Station Season 1, Karde Karam, will surely make a strong impression on music lovers across the globe.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Hamza has done complete justice with Hazrat Shamshuddin Tabrezi’s kalam. These beautiful lines merited reverence. The music and vocals are entirely focused on elevating the poet’s thoughts and messages rather than just being another part of the whole orchestra.
Hamza’s vocals, as usual, are highly impressive. The transition from low to high gives power to the song. When the pitch is mellow and quiet, you can perhaps sing along, but when he hits those high notes, it would be tough to follow. Not many are as gifted as this man is.
During the musical transitions, Lenny Massey on the Clarinet, and Zulqernain in the Piccollo flute shine. Together they give the song a new and unique dimension, which we don’t get to hear, especially in Qawalli styled songs. It’s groovy and harmonious, fitting right with the tonality of the whole song. Others including Alfred D’mello on drums, Sameer Ahmed Bakhtiari on Bass, Alex Shabaz on Piano, Joshua Amjad on Matka, and Kashan Admani on Acoustic Guitars play their role diligently without ever going overboard.
The video is unassuming and focuses on the different artists delivering this magic. It goes well with the overall tone of the song. There is nothing extravagant or overtly elaborate about this song. Yet it is beautiful in terms of sound and visuals. Hamza Akram Qawal, Taimoor Akram, and Abdul Akram have given us something to keep our hearts warm in this cold weather.
The latest release ‘Ghalti’ has been garnering critical acclaim and audience’s praise because of its brilliant storyline and great performances. Saba Hameed takes the director’s seat for the first time and plays a pivotal role too. It features Hira Mani, Affan Waheed, Faris Shafi, Saba Faisal, Sana Askari, and Anoushay Abbasi in crucial roles. Does Ghalti lives up to its hype? Let’s analyze.
Zaira (Hira Mani) is a happy go lucky and sweet daughter of Shabeer (Shehryar Zaidi) and Nafeesa (Saba Faisal). She lives in Dubai and is Nikahfied to cousin Saad (Affan Waheed), who lives in Pakistan and struggles to find his feet towards a good career. Being the elder son, he is carefree and doesn’t take the household responsibilities very seriously.
Maira (Anoushay Abbasi), Aliya (Sana Askari), and Sohail (Faris Shafi) are siblings of Saad. Her mother, Zaitoon (Saba Hameed), is the widow of Shabeer’s late brother. After his demise, he took the family under his wings and supported them through thick and thin. He is generous enough that he gives his property to them to live in. The twist in the tale occurs when Shabeer faces enormous losses in his business and is left with no option but to sell his house in Pakistan. He comes to Pakistan to celebrate Eid and tells Zaitoon to vacate the house. A greedy Zaitoon cannot accept this shock and reacts miserably; she threatens that if this would happen, Saad will divorce Zaira.
Standing out among the ensemble cast, Anoushay Abbasi’s act comes as a pleasant surprise. Her role has shades of grey and she does it with complete conviction. She digs her teeth well into the part and makes sure that it would get hate. She is effortless while emoting anger and stress during the transition from the big house to their old place. Abbasi has the knack of smelling good scripts with the diversified roles she has done till date. She stands tall and seems to be a person at ease with herself. Unruffled with competition, she has proved her mettle with her acting prowess and screen presence. She comes across as a no-nonsense girl and is happy with whatever she has achieved. It’s her intelligence and the charming persona that has kept the audience impressed with every performance of her.
With her character bringing new dimensions to the story, we can’t wait to watch what would happen next in Ghalti!
